What is happening in Poland?

On 28th January, after almost 100 days, the restriction law was published, taking away Polish people's rights.

Why call it a near-total ban?

Since 1993, Poland has only permitted abortions in 3 cases:

1. When a pregnancy endangers a person's life,

2. If the pregnacy is the result of rape

3. If there are fetal abnormalities.

Just last year, 97% of abortions were due to fetal defects. That was 1074 of 1100 abortions performed in Polish hospitals This ban has made abortion in Poland impossible.That’s why Strajk Kobiet (Polish Women on Strike) fight for FREE, SAFE and LEGAL abortion for polish women.
