Werkbezoek over luchtkwaliteit met Volt en de Provincie

De themagroep Klimaat, duurzame energie, natuur en biodiversiteit en de provinciale fractie van Zuid-Holland, plannen 17 maart een werkbezoek over de luchtkwaliteit in onze stad. Dit bezoek dient om beleid te baseren op feiten en inzichten van experts.

Tijdens dit werkbezoek spreken we met Martin van Raay van het Kenniscentrum Houtrookoverlast over luchtvervuiling en de gevolgen van houtstook. Daarnaast bespreken we de lopende rechtszaak die MOB (Mobilisation for the Environment) heeft aangespannen tegen de gemeente Den Haag. We willen beter begrijpen waarom deze zaak is aangespannen en welke rol de omgevingsdiensten hierbij spelen. Want hoe staat het er écht voor met de luchtkwaliteit in onze steden? En welke stappen moeten wij als lokale en provinciale politici zetten?

Working visit on air quality with Volt and the Province

The climate, renewable energy, nature and biodiversity theme group and the provincial group of South Holland, are planning a working visit on air quality in our city. This visit serves to base policy on facts and insights from experts.

During this working visit, we will talk to Martin van Raay of the Knowledge Centre about the effects of wood burning and air pollution. We will also discuss the ongoing court case brought by MOB (Mobilisation for the Environment) against the municipality of The Hague. We want to understand better why this case was filed and what role the environmental services play in it. Because what is the real state of air quality in our cities? And what steps should we as local and provincial politicians take?
