European Trendwatcher Europe Team (M/V/X)

Do you have a passion for European politics and trends? As a European Trendwatcher, you will monitor the latest developments in Europe on topics such as healthcare, climate, and geopolitics. With your analyses, you will advise the team on interesting partnerships and lay the groundwork for smart connections with other Volt teams. As a European Trendwatcher, you focus on:

  • Monitoring trends and developments in Europe;

  • Analyzing European challenges on topics such as climate, healthcare, and geopolitics;

  • Advising the team on strategic collaborations with other Volt teams;

  • Building expertise in specific themes connecting Groningen and Europe.

Important:

This is a volunteer position with 2-5 hours per week and a flexible schedule. For all our positions we ask that you endorse Volt's principles and the code of conduct.

What will this new team be working on?

  • You will build and maintain relationships with other Volt departments in Europe based on current themes and with chapters that have similar challenges. You will work with enthusiastic members from all over Europe.

  • You will ensure we gather expertise in the field of European politics and further disseminate this within the province, by organizing meetings and excursions and inviting speakers for our members of Volt Groningen. This will be done in close collaboration with the policy and events teams. You grow in your skills and knowledge of European politics.

  • You provide insights into relevant developments at European level and use best practices from elsewhere to find solutions for the province of Groningen for shared challenges.
