Onze communityborrel gaat on tour! We willen zoveel mogelijk stadsdelen leren kennen en voor iedereen toegankelijk zijn. Daarom strijken we deze keer neer in Scheveningen met een locatie waar het Schevenings karakter vanaf spat: Zarautz aan de Prins Willemstraat 36. Zarautz is niet zomaar een horecazaak, het is een echte Scheveningse parel. Eigenaar Harry heeft niet alleen het leukste terras van Den Haag, maar verrast op Moederdag de bewoners van het nabijgelegen verzorgingstehuis met bloemen, organiseert een kerstdiner voor eenzame ouderen en staat bekend om zijn Nederlandstalige muziekavonden vol foute hits. Voor zijn jarenlange inzet voor de buurt, waaronder sponsoring van sportclubs en het iconische vreugdevuur, ontving hij de Haegsche Duym.
Deze borrel is extra speciaal, want je kunt er laagdrempelig kennismaken met de kandidaten voor het co-voorzitterschap van Volt Nederland en enkele kandidaten voor de integriteitscommissie. Het moment om jouw vragen te stellen, ideeën uit te wisselen en een goed gevoel te krijgen bij de mensen op wie jij op 17 mei kunt stemmen tijdens het Volt Congres. Zo weet je precies waar de kandidaten voor staan en wie het beste bij jouw visie past.
Neem vooral je vrienden, familie, collega’s en kennissen mee om bij te praten en nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten. Of je nou net lid bent of al jaren actief. Je bent meer dan welkom!

The community get-together goes on tour – this month to Scheveningen
Our community get-together is going on tour! We want to get to know as many parts of the city as possible and make our gatherings accessible to everyone. That’s why we’re heading to Scheveningen, to a venue bursting with local character: Zarautz, located at Prins Willemstraat 36. Zarautz isn’t just any venue. It’s a true Scheveningen gem. Owner Harry runs The Hague’s most charming terrace and surprises residents of the nearby care home with flowers on Mother’s Day, hosts a Christmas dinner for lonely elderly people, and is famous for his Dutch sing-along nights full of guilty pleasures. For his years of dedication to the neighbourhood, including sponsoring local sports clubs and supporting the iconic New Year’s bonfire, Harry was awarded the Haegsche Duym, a prestigious local honour.
This gathering is extra special because you’ll have the chance to meet the candidates for the co-leadership of Volt Netherlands, as well as some of the nominees for the Integrity Committee. It’s the perfect opportunity to ask your questions, share ideas, and get a feel for the people you’ll be voting for on May 17 at the Volt Congress. This way, you’ll know exactly what they stand for and who aligns best with your vision.
