The Red Line
On Sunday, October 5, we will once again massively draw the Red Line. After two Red Line demonstrations in The Hague, it is now the turn of our capital Amsterdam.
While the vast majority of the Netherlands wants our government to take concrete sanctions to stop the genocide and end the occupation of Palestine, nothing is happening in political The Hague. A fundamental change of course is therefore necessary.
By drawing the Red Line through the capital with as many people as possible on October 5, in the month of the elections, we call on politicians, policymakers and residents of the Netherlands to show decisive action. Dutch authorities must now take effective political, economic and diplomatic sanctions against Israel.
Dozens of organizations are participating in the Red Line demonstration, such as the Palestinian Community in the Netherlands, Amnesty International, Doctors for Gaza, BDS Netherlands, Dutch Scholars for Palestine, Another Jewish Voice, Erev Rav, Oxfam Novib, PAX, Plant an Olive Tree, Save the Children and The Rights Forum. Just like at the previous demonstrations, we call on civil society organizations, cultural institutions and everyone who wants to take action against genocide to join us.
