Vacancy Campaign Team: Co-Lead Campaign (f/x) (Volunteer)

Volt is looking for two enthusiastic campaign leads to take the lead in developing the campaign for Volt Amsterdam. In the upcoming period, you will work with the board and the council to prepare and set the vision for the 2026 municipal elections and any potential early parliamentary elections.

What does the campaign team do?
The campaign team is where policy, community, communication, and events converge. It is an overarching team with the goal of making Volt visible and heard in the public space. This includes organizing (flyer) events on the street, setting up a radio interview, or arranging an engaging debate.

During the preparation phase, you will primarily work with the board to establish a campaign strategy and align the candidates as effectively as possible for the elections. During the campaign itself, the focus is on creating visibility, with a priority on the peak period just before the elections. You ensure that everything is on point, both organizationally and practically!

What will you do?

  • Responsible for planning and strategy of the campaign

  • Participate in the national campaign team

  • Coordinate with and inform the Amsterdam board

  • Responsible for coordinating and organizing in alignment with the local board

  • Generate and gather creative ideas for shaping and organizing campaign activities

  • Responsible for evaluating the campaign in your municipality

  • Dedicate time to support and collaborate with other European Volt chapters

What we expect from you:

  • Support Volt's values, as well as its local, national, and European policy programs. We are European, grassroots, democratic, and inclusive. Affinity with Europe is essential.

  • Be a member of Volt.

  • Sign an NDA due to handling personal data.

Time Commitment:

  • During preparations, from January 2025 to December 2025, approximately 6-8 hours per week.

  • During campaign time (for the municipal elections: January to March 2026) approximately 15-20 hours per week.

Who are we looking for (or what can you learn)?

  • Someone who embodies Volt's values

  • Someone who is organized and politically savvy, or is eager to learn

  • Someone who can motivate and inspire people

  • Someone who can maintain an overview in hectic situations

Volt is an inclusive organization that provides space for everyone and leverages the power of diversity to achieve better results for our society. Regardless of your gender, age, cultural background, who you love, or what you believe: we warmly invite you to apply.
