Merle is a group representative for Volt on the Education, Care & Poverty Committee. She also works full time as a group staff member.
Merle studied Political Science with a minor in Communication Studies. She also has a bachelor's degree in Sinology and worked for a time as a research assistant for the LeidenAsiaCentre. During her studies, she was co-lead for Volt Amsterdam's events team.
